CONNECTING ALL OF THE FRONT LINE
Conscious Connection is moving online temporarily. An evening to bring together those working the front line, to talk, listen, share, and connect. As members working the front-line and supporters of these members, we have a unique thread that links us all together and there is a powerful strength that happens when we come together and build relationships with one another.
~ Are you a member of the front-line? Are you a family member or close friend of someone on the front-line? Are you looking to connect with others?
~ Looking to share your story and feel heard and supported?
~ Feeling alone and like nobody understands what you are going through?
THEN THIS EVENING IS FOR YOU
Join us Wednesday, April 22, 2020, 7:00-8:00 p.m. via Zoom (Register at Eventbrite)
What you can expect:
You will hear from a guest speaker who will share their stories and experiences as well as some time for those attending to share and connect if they wish. It is a night with no expectations, just a safe space for us to connect.
Jocelyn Davison and her series of events called Elevate. Elevate is a community looking to elevate one another, elevate their skills, elevate their community, and elevate their lives to a new level. Through support and collaboration with like-minded people and community initiatives, we will elevate our impact on the business community in Edmonton.
GUEST SPEAKER: Gary Benoit, Police Officer
Originally from Newfoundland, Gary spent his early childhood in Alberta before moving to Southern Saskatchewan where he lived until 1998. At this time, he found himself back on Alberta soil having accepted a temporary contract as a civilian member in an Aboriginal Development Program. Since then, he has been a Police Officer serving his community for over 20 years. He is also the Co-Founder of Benoit Wellness Consulting and a Licensed Agent in the Financial Services Industry.
He has seen many trying things and has been involved in very difficult situations, including an officer-involved shooting. He truly understands the importance of stress management, having a strong foundation, a resilient mind, and a positive support system of people around him in order to maintain physical, emotional and mental health. Setting goals and having a direction for his life allows him to have a focal point to come back to during difficult times.
It is now his passion to help others do the same. He believes in living consciously every day and that each and every one of us has the ability to make choices that positively impact ourselves and others. He continues to work on being the best version of himself and he is determined to make the front line world a better place.
