DeeAnneThe President’s Story

I was born sick. My amazing mom and dad had me in and out of doctors offices and on numerous medications for the majority of my first few years. I spent a lot of time in bed drinking ginger ale and eating chicken noodle soup. By the time I turned five years old, the doctors knew that something more drastic needed to be done and so I underwent surgery to remove my tonsils. This invasive procedure was a last resort in my parent’s efforts to make me well and end the constant burden of my illnesses. This however, was just the beginning.

Our Mission: To serve others through education and with healing by connecting, collaborating and nurturing.

It was also around the age of 5 that something very profound happened to me. As I ate a hard candy one evening I began to choke. I struggled to catch my breath as my parents ran over towards me. My dad came behind me, wrapped his arms around my waist and began to heave back. He thrust with all his might trying to get the candy out. I felt my feet lift from the floor with each thrust. The pressure was intense…I was sure at that age that my head would pop off! As he and I both continued to struggle, I went limp in his arms. In this moment, I was removed from my body. I now hovered above my parents as I watched them in panic below. My mom was now running to the phone to call for help and my dad was now trying to use his fingers to pry the object out. As I floated above them I did not feel panic, fear or pain. I felt peace and an intense calm in knowing what life was REALLY about. Finally in desperation my dad used his thumb and popped the candy out.

Within a few seconds, I rushed back into my body and I gasped as life was brought back to it. What a feeling it was to breathe again. My face was black and blue from all of the blood vessels being broken when my dad fought so hard to keep me alive. After several days the physical consequences from the experiences were gone however, the emotional, spiritual and mental impacts changed me for life.

The illnesses and the Near Death Experience allowed me to understand life more fully. I knew the fragility of each and every soul. I knew how valuable each and all life was and is. Imagine knowing this at only 5 years of age. It was so powerful that I could sense energy and had intense lucid dreams from that age on.

Due to my heightened empathic abilities and my strong connection to be in service for others, I chose a career in health care. My deep passion for health care has remained to this day. I became an EMT-A immediately after high school, a Dental Assistant, an instructor in both of those fields and a multiple business owner. However, as I continued on my journey, I still struggled with chronic illness. By my mid 20’s I chose to live my life SO fully and SO completely that I decided to make a choice about my health. I decided that I would not be defined by illness. I would not use the diagnosis of Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Fibromyalgia as an excuse to stop living a joy filled life.

I approached alternative health care to help me to live healthier and happier. It was in this journey that I realized there was no alternative health care system. There was no place where people could go to find guided and loving support when they need it the most. This was the beginning of my company, Your Holistic Earth. This is a place where people can discover a world of resources, services and products for healthier and happier lives. My goal is to reduce the cost, time and suffering that people go through so they can live their lives in a healthier, happier way.

Our Vision: Enhancing well-being for all
