3 Thrivalist Ways to Soothe Your Frazzled Nerves!
It happens to all of us! That overwhelmed or anxious feeling of frazzled nerves when you feel like a shaken bottle of soda pop getting ready to BURST! Work!? Kids!? Spouse!? Life!? GAH!
Use these 3 thrivalist ways to help tame the beast inside of you before it escapes and wreaks havoc on those you love, especially yourself and continue thriving in life.

  1. Take a “write” out

Grab a pen and either your journal or some loose paper and allow yourself some time to sit in complete silence and let your thoughts flow. If you can’t think of anything to write about, ask yourself a question like…What is my best quality today? or What is ONE thing that I can LET go of until tomorrow because I can’t do anything productive about it today? Make it positive because you deserve to pat yourself on the back for a job well done because you are doing the best that you can!

  1. Listen to music.

Most people can’t be angry when they’re listening to music so tune into your favorite station or cue up a couple of your favorite songs. Fill your ears, heart and soul with the healing power of music. Dancing a little never hurt either, nobodies watching…go on, do it! You will be surprised how quickly you can cheer up with the right lyrics or melody. Need a suggestion? Drop me a line! I’ll give you some suggestions!

  1. Go for a walk.

Nature, fresh air and movement of ANY kind should be a mandatory part of your daily routine. If its not, Stop that! Get outside and move your body in whichever way you’re able. Stretching first is important because it allows more oxygen into your muscles making them want to work harder for you. Suffering from anxiety and chronic pain sucks! I know, and I GET it but facing them and being bigger, badder and stronger than them is SO much more rewarding than the self-talk your going to have with yourself for NOT doing it. Need motivation? Let me know!

And if all of these fail you, remember…Tears are not weakness and if you believe that they are, then I’m sorry but you’re wrong. Tears cleanse and are healing to the spirit and over all good mental health. They show genuine vulnerability and allow for growth past a situation. I’m not saying cry all the time but when you’re feeling overwhelmed or anxious DON’T feel guilty for your tears. You are human and have real emotions that deserve to be accepted. Need a few moments alone to renew yourself? Take a hot shower and let the water wash away the negativity you’ve stored up down the drain. Fresh and clean and ready to face whatever comes your way. You’ve got this!

Please watch for my upcoming publication aptly titled Survivalist to Thrivalist – One Woman’s Journey.
This is the second volume of my Survivalist to Thrivalist Trilogy and reveals my life from the ages of 20 to 40 years-old.  An unbelievable story of resiliency and triumph and how I survived domestic abuse, trauma and the road to prostitution to come out on the other side a Blue Sky Thrivalist.
